    This powershell script can be used to set the database mapping. I used a csv file with the content database and nintex database names "CDB" and "NintexDB". For single database mapping uncomment the variables.

    #Load assemblies
    [System.Reflection.Assembly]::LoadWithPartialName('Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration')
    [System.Reflection.Assembly]::LoadWithPartialName('Nintex.Workflow')
    [System.Reflection.Assembly]::LoadWithPartialName('Nintex.Workflow.Administration')
    [System.Reflection.Assembly]::LoadWithPartialName('Nintex.Workflow.Common')
    [System.Reflection.Assembly]::LoadWithPartialName('Nintex.Workflow.ContentDbMappingCollection')

    #Database variables
    $DbServer = "<Nintex Database Server Name>"
    #Database name - use these variables for single database mapping
    #$CBD = Get-SPContentDatabase -Identity "<SharePoint Content database name>"
    #$NintexDB = "<Nintex Content database name>"

    #Get the Nintex Configuration Database
    $configdb = [Nintex.Workflow.Administration.ConfigurationDatabase]::GetConfigurationDatabase();

    #csv import used for multiple datbase mapping
    $DBs = Import-csv "D:\temp\NintexDBmapping.csv"
    foreach($DB in $DBs){
    #database variable - comment these out for single mappings
    $CBD = Get-SPContentDatabase -Identity $DB.CDB
    $NintexDB = $DB.NintexDB

    #Check that Nintex Content database exists
    $contentDatabase = $configdb.ContentDatabases.FindByDatabaseAndServerName($DbServer,$NintexDB);

    #Update the mappings to associate the Nintex Content database with the SharePoint content database
    if($contentDatabase -ne $null)

    Thanks for your suggestion Scott. We are soon to begin building the List Lookup control for Universal Forms and will put this into consideration when building the new control.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for your suggestion Cassy. With Universal Forms, you will be able to set the value of any control. I just tested setting the People Picker control in a test environment.

    Would the person be hardcoded in the rule? Or would you expect a UserProfileLookup runtime function output to populate the field? Let me know in the comments below.

    Cheers,
    Euan

    Thanks for your suggestion Ashlee.

    I get this request quite a bit. At the moment we are focused on releasing Universal Forms which will replace the existing Responsive Designer. Once we have shipped Universal Forms, I hope to revisit this idea.

    Hi Auke,

    Within Universal Forms, we now have a digital signature for web and mobile.

    Would a signautre control fulfill this requirement, or do you require a digital signature file upload?

    Please provide more feedback in the comments section below.

    Thanks,
    Euan

    Hi all,

    With the development of Universal Forms, we are looking at how the current form modes are supported in the existing product.

    At this time we are still planning to continue using functions to detect form modes. This is so we are able to support migrations but also give a lot of flexibility in the rules engine.

    We do not plan to bring different layouts to Universal Forms at this time. As we are introducing multipage to Universal Forms, we do need to figure out how a multipage form will be printed and is under consideration.

    I will update this feature when we release an Advance Preview of Universal Forms if our position changes based on feedback.

    Cheers,
    Euan

    This would be very helpful. We have some complex forms that for different process reason need to be printed. The print view is very different from the actual form.

    Thanks for your suggestion Dawn.

    We definitely understand the value of ‘Set field value’ rules, but we do not have any plans to bring this functionality to Classic at this time.

    Once we ship Universal Forms for SharePoint, we will revisit Classic forms in the future.

    Cheers,
    Euan

    Thanks for your suggestion Ryan. I can tell you that the new Responsive Designer will look very different to classic when Universal Forms will be released as its a new engine.

    Once we release Universal Forms for SharePoint, we will revisit our strategy around Classic Forms.

    Cheers,
    Euan

    I can see why the two designers are different. Responsive designer is more for simple form designs. I like that the classic designer doesn't have a restriction on the number of columns you can have, like responsive does. However, it would be nice if the classic designer had a bit more of a modern look like the responsive designer does.

    Hi Susan. Hopefully our new Rules Engine in Universal Forms will make your for development much simpler in the future and address some of these issues.

    Once we have released Universal Forms for SharePoint, I will update this feature. It will be good to get your feedback once it is released and review this feature request.

    Cheers,
    Euan

    Hi all,

    While this is still in the planned status, we have recently announced a capability that allows you to move your Nintex Workflow for Office365 to Nintex Workflow Cloud. This technology also converts your task forms (Old and New Responsive) to Nintex Workflow Cloud forms. This technology gives you an insight into our conversion capability which we hope to bring to Office365 List Forms in the future.

    Cheers,
    Euan
