    Hi Ken,

Thanks for the feedback. I am interested in understanding this requirement a little more. Can you give me some specific scenarios where the current approach is clunky

    1) I need to add in an email a list of selected Yes/No values as a comma separated list.
    2) I need to use in emails different sentences (clauses), links and pictures, and apply formatting depending on the user selection in the form. This can be accomplished with variables and multiple if/switch activities, but this severely complicates the workflow and affects workflow performance.
    3) Perform expense and tax related calculations that depend on a number of values and conditions on the form and in reference list(s).
In C#, PowerShell or JavaScript it would be super easy to implement. But, not so easy with the workflow. Would be nice to have an OOTB action like https://github.com/modembug/NTX

It would be great if PDF generation would apply print-mode CSS classes and form rules to have the ability to hide or show controls in the printable layout (e.g. buttons or panels with legal/information sections). That would eliminate the need to create a new form layout if all you want is to hide a few controls.
Another great feature would be to add a button with action "Print" that would generate a printable HTML view of the form where all SharePoint page chrome is stripped off and print-mode CSS classes and media queries are applied to form controls (see https://community.nintex.com/community/build-your-own/blog/2017/09/11/print-friendly-nintex-forms). That would save lots of effort implementing a workaround for printing when you need it on multiple forms.

    Thanks for your suggestion Dawn.

We definitely understand the value of ‘Set field value’ rules, but we do not have any plans to bring this functionality to Classic at this time.

Once we ship Universal Forms for SharePoint, we will revisit Classic forms in the future.

    Cheers,
    Euan

As we are currently building Universal Forms, we are considering how the buttons appear on the form and in the ribbon. We are taking a very minimal approach to the ribbon.

If you have any more feedback, please provide it in the comments section below.

    Cheers,
    Euan

At this stage we have no plans to change the validation message location for Classic Forms. We recommend you look at Responsive Forms if you users prefer the validaiton message below the field.

Once we have shipped Universal Forms for SharePoint, we will revisit the Classic experience.

    Euan

I often need to wrap controls into sections with section heading and two-column control layout. And, with content type inheritance such sections are often repeated. Copying of such panels with nested controls between Item-to-Item and Item-to-Workflow Action forms would save tremendous amount of time. Please, put a priority on this request. It has been open for 32 months already! Hope to see it implemented with the Universal Forms, at least.

As we are currently focused on Universal Forms, this is not on the short to medium term.

Once we have shipped Universal Forms for SharePoint, we will revisit Classic Forms.

This is now in the backlog and something we would like to implement with Universal Forms for the List Lookup control.

I will update this feature when we begin development on the List Lookup control for Universal Forms for SharePoint.

    Euan

Thanks for your suggestion Vadim. As we are currently building Universal Forms for Office 365, SharePoint and Nintex Workflow Cloud, we are considering how we move forward with Live Forms with all the Nintex Infrastructure.

We currently support Google reCaptcha in Nintex Forms for Nintex Workflow Cloud which may suit your needs as the platform supports anonymous forms and pushing data to different systems.

    Cheers,
    Euan

Thanks for your suggestion Saurabh. We hear the request for tab ordering from time to time and will put this request in the backlog.

As we are focused on Universal Forms, I dont expect this to be delivered in the medium term but will consider this for Universal Forms.

    Hi all,

With the development of Universal Forms, we are looking at how the current form modes are supported in the existing product.

At this time we are still planning to continue using functions to detect form modes. This is so we are able to support migrations but also give a lot of flexibility in the rules engine.

We do not plan to bring different layouts to Universal Forms at this time. As we are introducing multipage to Universal Forms, we do need to figure out how a multipage form will be printed and is under consideration.

I will update this feature when we release an Advance Preview of Universal Forms if our position changes based on feedback.

    Cheers,
    Euan
