  1. Add support for case sensitive database collations

    SQL DB collations like Latin1GeneralCS_AS are not officially supported by K2. But for some (third party) data case sensitivity is important.

  2. Add Composite smartobject "Service Method link" feature to K2 Designer

    One simple case I need to be supported in K2 designer is the following: you build a composite smartobject where you need to execute 1 method on each row returned during the previous query.

    Let's imagine one case: retrieve a list of customers and their ID in hexadecimal

    1 method: get list of customers with their ID in decimal

    2 method: on each row returned by method 1 apply a function that converts the decimal ID into hexadecimal

    Output

    <customer name> <ID in hex>

    Fabrice 0x100

    Jeanne 0x323

    Nicole 0x4567

  3. Service Method Chaining For Each Loop

    This would be useful in cases where a service method returns a collection and items in the collection nests an Object type. Take the K2 WCF Service > Worklist Navigation Service Objects for example:

    If you call the OpenWorklist(bool actdatafield, bool actxmlfield, bool pidataField, bool,pixmlfield), it will return a collection of worklistitem:

    WLItem1 {Number ID, Text SerialNumber, ProcessInstance ProcessInstance, etc.}

    WLItem2 {Number ID, Text SerialNumber, ProcessInstance ProcessInstance, etc.}

    Where ProcessInstance is an object type

    ProcessInstance {Number ID, Text Folio, DateTime StartDate, etc.}

    But you want the data returned as:

    {Number WorklistID, Text SerialNumber, Number ProcessInstanceID, Text Folio}

    • with the 'ProcessInstance'…
