Create SQL tables by creating SmartObjects
We all know we can create SmartObjects based on SQL tables when connected to the database via a service instance.
I'm wondering if things could work the other way around: Create SQL tables by creating SmartObjects:
- Create a SmartObject and define its fields, with their data types.
- Click a button that says, "Create SQL tables based on this SmartObject".
- Choose service instance that points to the database you want to modify.
- K2 binds the SmartObject to the database and from there on, modifying it will correspondingly modify the tables it created and data can be directly inserted there via forms.
This way, for most simple cases, K2 administrators wouldn't need to touch the SQL database directly in order to create assets. It would work similarly to K2+SharePoint, a way to "appify" a database table.
