Correct picture display, to match display in windows
Some pictures who show up in portrait mode in windows are shown in landscape mode in K2. This has to do with something called EXIF metadata. Windows responds to this EXIF metadata and shows the picture upright, but the image attachment control ignores this and shows the picture in landscape mode
I suggest that the image attachment control supports this EXIF metadata for orientation of the picture, so you don't get any mismatch between what users see in windows and what they see in their form.
I had a support ticket logged for this, but this doesn't give a viable durable solution to the problem:
The picture that they were trying to attach had "EXIF metadata",
Windows displays the image as upright (because the EXIF data tells it to rotate the image) that means that the TRUE image is sideways, then rotated to upright.
If you want pictures to appear upright in the control you are going to have to remove this EXIF data from the image using the following website (this is what we used):
However, removing this EXIF data will result in Windows displaying it as horizontal (because that is the state of the image, and it will no longer have the EXIF data instructing it to rotate).
What you can you do to have it upright in both the control and Windows is remove the EXIF data with that website, edit the image in paint, rotate it, and save the new image.
This way it will not have EXIF data, and the image will be upright as it TRUE state.
