  1. Changes made in the Designer are not reflected when using anonymous forms

    Changes that are made in the Designer are not shown in the Runtime or Design time URL's, until the item is checked in. This is expected behavior, however, only when its a different user. The user who made the changes does not see his own changes made, until its checked in.

    This will happen when the user makes use of anonymous forms. Currently this is expected behavior because anonymous forms execute as the K2 App Pool account and not as the logged in user. When you run the form without checking it in, it technically executes as a different user…

    Thank you for your feedback, however the behavior you describe is expected. Until changes are checked-in, they are only displayed to the user who has the form checked out. If the form is anonymous, then the K2 Designer cannot display the unchecked-in changes.

    Thanks so much for your feedback. At this time, we do not have Swagger v3 support on the short-term roadmap. However, we reevaluate requests periodically and may reach out if priorities change. Thanks for your input!

  3. Update the SQL Server Reporting Services Broker.

    I would like to submit a request for the revaluation of removing the SSRS Broker from “legacy” status back to active support/development. There are still many on prem customers that use SSRS including my current customer.

    This could be accomplished in a few ways that would be of benefit.

    Option 1: Update the current broker project. This is the quickest and low hanging fruits. The necessary web services that the current broker reply upon exist in SSRS 2016. This has been validated in a fresh build of a test environment.
    Change the reference from depending on the ReportViewer 2005 to…

  5. Ability for K2 Power Automate feature to be bi-directional

    With Power Automate integration, you currently can only can call the K2 Workflow REST API from Microsoft Power Automate. Would like the ability to call the Microsoft Power Automate API from K2 as well.

    Thank you for your feedback. At this time, we do not have plans to integrate with the Microsoft Power Automate API from K2. Your best bet would be to look at dynamic service types such as the REST broker, OData broker, or JavaScript Service Provider (JSSP) to integrate with additional APIs.

  6. Retrieve envelope values from DocuSign

    It would be helpful to retrieve the values entered in the DocuSign fields (tab) so they can be used by workflows in other operations after a document has been signed.

  7. DocuSign API Integration Enhancements

    There are several methods in DS API that need to be brought into the Service Broker. K2 should by it from Bytezoom, and bring it in.

    Thank you for your feedback. There are no plans to add features to the DocuSign integration at this point. As mentioned, there are partners who have created rich integrations that can be used by customers to solve additional business cases.

  8. REST Swagger Parameter Ref Support

    Currently, using $ref in a parameters does not work:

    "parameters": [
    {
    "$ref": "#/parameters/UserId"
    }

    *this can cause the path to not show up as a service object method

    Instead, we have to define it directly in the parameters:

    "parameters": [
    {
    "name": "UserId",
    "in": "path",
    "description": "User Id",
    "type": "string",
    "required": true
    }
    ]

    Although, this feature does exists in Swagger 2.0:

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/27005105/swagger-openapi-use-ref-to-pass-a-reusable-defined-parameter

    Would like support parameter $ref for the REST broker in the future.

  9. Build a System Center Operations Manager Module for K2

    Existing SCOM managed environments already in use in enterprise environments. Basic metrics like web app pinging, service account status, error traps.

  10. Enable OOF delegates in K2 to receive custom task notifications instead of default ones

    It is required for localization of messages.

    This possibility will allow us to more often use the mechanism of the OOF in various tasks.
    Now most users of the standard messages are marked as spam and, accordingly, do nothing with the set task.

    Thank you for your feedback on the OOF feature. At this time, we have no plans to add functionality to OOF. However, we reevaluate requests every quarter and will reach out if priorities change. Please keep the feedback coming as it is critical for our longer-term planning.

  11. Jira integration

    It would be useful because automation/workflows/forms could be made to work with Jira or based on Jira issues.
    There are many organizations making use of Jira, and they would find it useful to integrate K2 automation/actions based on submitted issues.
    The easiest way to make this work would be to integrate K2 with the Jira REST API, but Jira does not have a SWAGGER file to be used by K2.

  12. Using SNC in K2 Connect for Connecting to SAP

    At the moment, there seems to be no encryption mechanism between K2 Connect and SAP. As more and more SAP Systems go into the Cloud, it is mandatory to have fully secured connections. SAP proposes since quite some time SNC as the standard way, and ERP Connect supports it. However, there is no mechanism in K2 Connect to control the usage of SNC.

    We are now forced to move away from K2 Connect due to this, as auditing requires a fully encrypted connection for the communication between K2 and SAP.

  13. Visual Studio 2017 support for K2 Five

    I want to work on custom controls, brokers etc. for K2 Five. As Visual Studio 2017 is currently the default development environment for many organizations, we need an SDK, templates etc. for K2 Five

    I prefer not to install old, legacy Visual Studio 2015 if possible!

    Thank you for your feedback. The K2 Designer for Visual Studio is a legacy designer and will be receiving any new features, including support for versions of Visual Studio released after 2015. You can use different Visual Studio versions to code service brokers, controls, etc. by referencing the K2 APIs, but you will not be able to design SmartObjects or Workflows in later versions. Thanks!

  14. Add out of the Box Service APi Types for Workday

    Our college is moving from Ellucian Banner ERP to Workday which is an up and coming cloud based ERP system for Higher Ed (HR, Finance, Student, etc). We are in the middle of doing our HR and Finance integration with them and we are using an integration tool called SnapLogic which has out of the box Workday API methods we can use to help us with our integrations. Although I would love the opportunity to learn how to write my own K2 service types to connect to Workday, we were not in a place or time of place to do…

    Thank you for your feedback. There are no immediate plans to add offline capabilities for Windows devices, only through the existing iOS and Android K2 Workspace mobile apps. We reevaluate requests periodically and may reach out if priorities change. Thanks for your input!

  16. (K2 Five) Allow users to add out of office exceptions in the workspace

    Admins can set both the person to forward to as well as individual exceptions within the management site, yet the users can only select 1 person to forward to with no exceptions within the workspace.

    We have many users that send different workflow tasks to different users while they are out of the office. Allowing the users to set this up themselves would save on a ton of support requests.

    Thank you for your feedback. There are no plans to add a service broker to convert Microsoft Office documents to PDF, but I know that there have been community members who have created this functionality, or K2 partners. Thanks!

  18. Powershell Service Broker

    Having out of the box support to run powershell scripts or commands via a SmartObject method call would be extremely useful in extending the functionality of the K2 platform while also adhering to the low-code philosophy of K2. The 'powershell service object' community project ( http://community.k2.com/t5/K2-blackpearl/PowerShell-Service-Object/ba-p/1025# ) is a start in the right direction, but for us is not really a viable solution as it is difficult to take on a dependency of an unsupported community project (especially since we have no in-house developers to maintain / enhance such a project going forward). Any work that has already been done…

    Thank you for your feedback. At this time we have no plans to add OOB support to run Powershell scripts from K2. However, our community of partners and customers have done some amazing extensions to K2 to solve a variety of needs. While not officially supported by K2 support, community driven extensions are a vibrant part of K2 and we will continue to invest in frameworks OOB instead of specific integrations at this time. Thanks for your input!

  19. Responsive Design Implemented For Additional Themes

    Thanks for your feedback, but there are no plans to modify the existing Platinum theme to be responsive. There are newer themes, such as Blue Void or Grey Void, that are responsive, and the new Style Profile renders SmartForms responsively. Give one of those themes a try!

    Thank you for your feedback. At this time, we have no plans for adding an integration to connect to data sources using ODBC. The dynamic service brokers we have for OData, REST, Web Services, as well as the JavaScript Service Provider (JSSP) for K2 Cloud would be the best way to integrate.
