Following from a discussion on the community, it would be great to bring the Nintex for SharePoint functionality of snippets to NWC.
Snippets allows for parts of a workflow to be saved to a gallery for easy re-use in other workflows.13 votes
When a workflow executes all data for the workflow variables are available in the workflow instance start data in the NWC dashboard.
Some data that is captured on forms would include data that is personal private information (eg personal email, phone number, etc).
Thus the NWC instance data becomes an additional data store to be considered for data breach implications.
It would be great for either:
1) a global option when publishing the workflow to not capture variable values in instance start data
2) an optional variable by variable to not be captured in instance start data.4 votes
Can we add a link to the Nintex Services status page somewhere in the NWC dashboard? Possibly in the Settings tab so that it is quickly available to administrators while troubleshooting failed instances. It occurred to me while putting together our training material for the new NWC Practitioner course that users will have to dig for that page or know the link off the top of their heads.1 vote
I would love to be able to trigger a separate workflow instance upon a Failed INstance to a particular workflow. I would see it as a setting option for Failed Workflow instances. I know that you can setup an alert to someone for a failed instance, which is a win and it would be great if you could achieve or automate some additional things with a separate workflow. NWC provides a Query JSON action, but no XML equivalent. While most APIs expose both, some APIs do not and other scenarios still require parsing XML so it would be great to see this included.9 votes
It would be great to change the default sender address so we would get automatic replies if the recipient is out of the office.3 votes
would love the ability to develop HTML emails in the workflow that support images and other formatting requirements to replicate the visual of our other email platforms12 votes
the SharePoint QUERY LIST action has no option to SORT the results like its ancestors in NW365 and NW2016. As there are no other sort actions or options this seems a real omission. (The SORT COLLECTION is very basic and not capable of sorting items in a collection).10 votes
I have the requirement to run the workflow Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. I don't see anywhere to set it in the Schedule. Can you please help? This feature is very common in Windows Server: Task Scheduler. Thanks!1 vote
I would like the ability to display distinct values from a SharePoint 365 List using the data lookup control.17 votes
When you have many workflows running within a single list, it would be useful to be able to either define the Instance Name from the workflow.
Or have another column the WF could write to, to enable easier identification of a single instance.. Currently you have to open each one OR match the Date Initiated with the create date.
Being able to add an identifier from the list item (ID, Title etc) would really help,21 votes
It would be great to have a set of actions that expoes the NWC API. This would allow for a repeat workflow to get a list of all workflows, or perhaps if it's ever added, automated user provisioning (e.g. add user to NWC, add user(s) to group(s)).9 votes
This has been released in R106: https://help.nintex.com/en-US/platform/ReleaseNotes/NintexWorkflowCloud.htm
Make the dropdown field options able to be determined by rules.
IF variable1 = 'x' THEN dropdown options = 'a,b,c'
IF variable1 = 'y' THEN dropdown options = 'd,e,f'
Thanks for your suggestion.
I will update the ticket if we have anything to share on this idea.
Switch condition does not have an other loop. Trying to migrate a Nintex Office 365 workflow to NWC but due to lack of this functionality, the migrated WF cannot be like for like.5 votes
It would be great if you could just set an email of your choosing for Workflow Fails outside of the choices given. For example I have all my workflows throughout the Nintex workflow suite to send email notifications to a Microsoft Teams, would be great to have the same option to do so with NWC with failed instances.6 votes
I wish NWC had either a default Cancel button or the ability to add one. I have a couple of forms that I'm redesigning in NWC and they are essentially worksheets that have no need for a workflow - they just help the user make a determination. It would be nice if the user could click a 'Cancel' button to clear out the form and start over.
Alternately it would be nice to be able to hide the 'Submit' button based on a case like this, or to use rules to hide it based on form data.4 votes
Thanks for your suggestion. We will consider a button control for future releases.
Would be great to have an option like in Power Automate where you can create secured inputs so that the collected data cannot be viewed from the instance start details.3 votes
For the NWC action format date to string can we add the ISO8601 date format please.
This is the format of yyyy-mm-ddThh:mi:ss.mmm (no spaces)
or date style 126 in SQL format.
Would be great if there was a way to update the name of a file that has been submitted via a Nintex Form within the workflow instance itself. This would make it much easier to associate files with other references provided within the form, such as a Title or Name.51 votes
