  1. Nintex mobile : Publish a workflow for a restricted circle of people.

in my company, we have a lot of workflows published in production with built-in nintex forms.

We need to group forms by permissions so that only specific people to access them.

For example, let's say we have HR forms, IT forms, and FINANCIAL forms. we want to publish the HR forms for HR users, IT for IT people and FINANCIAL for the accountants.

I've tried playing around with the permissions field, but it doesn't seem to impact the mobile app.

    Please develop this feature

  2. Additional form variable functions

The existing form variable functions are great. Here are some missing ones that would make life easier:

    String
    - InStr (to search for text within existing text)

    Mathematical
    - Mod (return the remainder of a division)
    - RoundDown (rounds a number down)

Thanks for you input.  So that we are clear on the ask, is the attached page, the page you like to customize.  If yes, what would be your priority list in customization capability? (i.e. 1. Text, 2.Bold, 3.Bullets, 4.Text justification, etc)

  4. One response per user

Sometimes it would be useful to limit responses to one per user. For instance, as I write this we are using NWC to take a survey of all employees (or at least those who will respond), and it would be nice if NWC could prevent a user from submitting more than one survey. I don't have reason to suspect this will happen, but still it would be nice to have the option. Our previous forms software had this capability.

  5. Allow add buttons to NWC form

It would be very helpful if we could add buttons to NWC forms and specify what value they set to a field. For example, I would like to give my users the ability to click cancel on a form. Then the workflow will perform some tasks (like update the SP list item Status to "Cancelled") and then the workflow ends.

  6. SQL Request Control for NWC Forms and Workflows

In Nintex for SharePoint On-Prem versions, there was a Form SQL Request control. This control allowed you to query a table or view, and to Execute a SQL query, or run a stored procedure. If you selected a Query type of SQL, you were presented with a place to write your own SQL query.

In NWC, when creating a data source, there is no option to execute a SQL query or stored procedure.

For the NWC form designer, there is no control that allows you to Write or Execute a SQL query.

And in the NWC workflow designer, none of…

  7. Split the option 'form available as' for Nintex Mobile and My Nintex

It would be very helpful to split the option 'This form is available as' between Nintex Mobile and My Nintex.

For example I might want to specify that a form is available in the Nintex Mobile app but not listed on the My Nintex page.

See screenshot attached for option I am referring to.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have updated the idea to be specific to ‘Choice – multiple’.

This has been added to the backlog. If this changes, I will update the status of this idea.

  9. Allow for HTML/JavaScript within labels or within a separate control on the form.

If we can add custom HTML/JavaScript to the NWC forms then we can enhance it in so many ways. From adding google address lookups to applying custom themes.

  10. Data source

WHen using a Data source in WFC Forms, there are 2 limitations that need to be dealt with. 1. Data source needs the ability to filter data based on another field 2. Data source needs to be able to handle filters in a view for sharepoint. Since a sharepoint list can technically handle 20K rows most admin create filtered views to deal with this much data. If data source can not filter in the form, then the developer needs to filter in the list.

Thank you very much for posting your feedback. The data source variables feature today, provides you the ability to create a condition to filter your data on both cases. If we did not understand the feedback correctly, please elaborate further.

  11. Ability to build or get submitted form URL

The ability to get the URL of the form submitted. We have two scenarios,

    1. We need to send a link to the original form through the task. this eliminates the requirement for us to recreate the whole start form again (No Export import capability which makes things even harder).

2.We need the capability to use this link on a PowerBI dash board for reporting purposes so the management can see the summary of the data through the dashboard and view the full form by clicking the line item from the report?

  12. improve data lookup control with multi-value fields and more

The new Data Lookup control in the Forms designer needs at least these three additional features:
[1] Support for multi-value fields (really needed soon)
[2] Allowing multiple Option Labels that will show as multiple columns in the pull down.
[3] Selecting a field to sort the option list by.

  13. Default Value for Data Lookup

Should be able to determine a default value for a Data Lookup control. This could be configured so that the default would be the "first" value returned by the control, or when the data lookup only returns one value it automatically becomes the value that is displayed.

  14. Nested choice fields or the ability to sort other choice fields based on earlier choices

It would be nice to have the ability to use nested/sub choice fields or the ability to filter other choice fields based on earlier choices. For example, I choose A on choice #1. So because of that, choice #2 filters what is available because of a choice selection. Or display certain choice fields based on what is selected from choice #1. I can accomplish the latter with rules but this is painful if you need many sub choices based on the first choice.

  16. Contributor Permission level with Workflow Variables created from NWC Automate Start menu

I'll try to make this short winded. The problem or what I want to solve for is having dynamic text (variable) within an NWC workflow form that can change dynamically of something exterior of the Form/Workflow within a Label, Description, or potentially other where a user whom is not a workflow designer can contribute without changing anything or accessing the workflow itself. Let me explain further on the architecture...I'm hoping for a "Contributor" whom owns the process but does not need access to the workflow, think almost a permission level between a participant and designer, where they could potentially see…

  17. Ability to view & delete list item attachments in task form

We need the ability to view and delete attachments that are attached to a SharePoint list item, from a task form.

When approvers need to approve a form, they need to be able to see the attachments associated with the item. And if necessary, they may want to replace one of the existing attachments with a different attachment so they should be able to delete a specific attachment and then upload a new one.

  18. Return data lookup value as object

I have several areas in my forms where I need a data lookup field on my form to return more than one value from the SharePoint list item that is selected.
For example, my Location data lookup field needs to save the location as the value and the label. BUT I also need to save the corresponding Abbreviation (another column in that SP source list) for that location into a different field so that I can use that Abbreviation in a filter on the form.

I have seen Euan's helpful video on a work around but that work around won't…

  19. Dynamic dropdown options

Make the dropdown field options able to be determined by rules.

    IF variable1 = 'x' THEN dropdown options = 'a,b,c'
    IF variable1 = 'y' THEN dropdown options = 'd,e,f'

    etc.

  20. Set value of 'Choice - Multiple' control through rules

I've come across a use case in which it would be helpful if checking a box in one choice field would uncheck a box in a previous choice field. In other words, clicking the box in the second field invalidates the checked box in the first.

Also, I haven't come across such a need myself, but I could also see the need for the ability to hide or "gray out" certain options in a multi-choice field based on one of the other options being selected. For example, if my options were 1,2,3,4,5 and the user selects 3, the 4 and…
