  1. Remote provisioning of Nintex Forms and Workflows for SharePoint 2013, 2016 and O365

Please, implement PowerShell based remote provisioning of Nintex Forms and Workflows for SharePoint 2013, 2016 and O365.
It would be even better if you implement SharePoint PnP extensions (https://github.com/SharePoint/PnP-PowerShell, https://github.com/SharePoint/PnP-Sites-Core).

This would allow integrating Nintext features into existing PnP-based site provisioning templates and deployment packages and would simplify Nintex feature migration between SharePoint sites and farms.

Current Nintex SDK is incomplete to use it for production purposes and Nintex export/import tools need to be executed on the server, which adds lots of unnecessary overhead in managed multi-tenant environments.

The remote provisioning tools for Nintex features should be…

  2. "in-the-box" solution for signatures on responsive forms?

Any way of implementing this in the responsive form (the code by Wisam Fawzi or equivalent) as a "in-the-box" solution for signatures on responsive forms?

    ie.https://community.nintex.com/community/tech-blog/blog/2016/02/26/extending-nintex-mobile-signature-control-to-desktopbrowser

We need an in-house solution for putting signatures on forms without resorting to Adobe Sign. We also wish to put Javascript in responsive forms (for things like signatures and embedding pictures in mobile forms). Have looked through forums and found various posts regarding the issue and do not wish to go back to back to the classic design.

Hi Steven, we have developed a web based signature control that will be included in Universal Forms. This will allow you to sign on either web or mobile and use the file object (not base64 string) as an image into docgen.

I will update this feature when we release Universal Forms for SharePoint.

    Cheers,
    Euan

  3. Add Attachments in repeating sections on LIVE forms

A new release was just published that now allows attachments to be added into repeating section which is great. BUT once the form is published externally (on NINTEx Live) , the control doesn't work. It works perfectly when submitted from SharePoint but not on Live form.

  4. Introduce a 'Rules Inspector'

It would be great to have some kind of tool that acts as "Rules Inspector" listing detailed info about:
    - unused rules
    - duplicated rules
    - rules using deleted or non-existing controls
    - rules per control
The output should be in a new browser tab & printable.

Hi Susan. Hopefully our new Rules Engine in Universal Forms will make your for development much simpler in the future and address some of these issues.

Once we have released Universal Forms for SharePoint, I will update this feature. It will be good to get your feedback once it is released and review this feature request.

    Cheers,
    Euan

  5. End-User Auto-Save without a server call

It would be great to give the Nintex form the ability to auto-save when the end -users are filling in their forms. Currently we have the "Save and continue" option as well as the ability to do some Javascript that can save but those approaches still do a server call; which refreshes the page, slows down the data entry, can go out of focus and gives a very unfriendly user experience. We would like to give the user the same experience when working on MS Office 365 where their entries are auto-saved every X-Minutes/seconds and add a line on top…

  7. Online payments on Nintex form

We need an integration point on the forms to be able to accept online payments, paypal, CC...etc.
It has been requested by multiple organizations to process payments through a secure gateway within the Nintex form for External and internal users. It would be to have this available on internal and external facing (LIVE) forms as well. It was mainly requested for Nintex on-prem 2016. But it would be great to have it also available on other versions, 2010, 2013 and office 365.

  8. print to pdf action as independent button

Currently "print to pdf" button is only in Ribbon.
A lot of times users asked to hide Ribbon, but have a button "print to pdf" in any other side of the form.
It should be great to be able to have the same functionality in a regular button, like, save, save and submit, cancel... selecting it on "button type property" (please, have a look to the attached file).

Thanks for your suggestion. We are currently reviewing the button action and also how print works within NIntex Forms as we build Universal Forms.

I expect we will include a new button action for print in the future. I will review this feature again when we release Universal Forms for SharePoint.

    Cheers,
    Euan

  9. Nintex Forms access to External Secondary Fields

We need to get details from external Oracle database using BCS connection and show them on Nintex form.
We have created external content type which has one primary column and 4 secondary columns.
And created SharePoint column using that external content type.
On Nintex, we are able to add newly created SharePoint column but with primary column only.
How can we add other 4 secondary columns on Nintex form?
Because we can’t see other 4 columns on available SharePoint columns window in Nintex Forms.

Note : BCS connection working fine because when we save Nintex form with external SharePoint column…

  10. Offline form builder

It would be fantastic to have a dedicated app to build Nintex forms in rather than being forced to do it via the browser.

I understand that a lot of the functionality requires online access (lookups and columns etc), but the ability to build in a dedicated app and then publishing that to SharePoint would be a great addition.

  11. Publish a Nintex Forms from the Save a Site as a template

When creating a new site from a saving a site as template that includes a content from a Site that has a published Nintex Forms, this new site will not have the Forms published. The user needs to Publish the Form manually.

This unpublished Forms only occurs with condition below:
    - The list or library has other custom content type
    - From the list setting page, the custom content type has been made as Position from Top as No 1 and the default content type of the list (Item) as No2. This can be done by click "Change new button…

  12. Custom theme options for each element in responsive forms.

The ability to set custom styles and themes for specific items in the responsive forms.

    For example.

I have added 2 buttons, I want one to show as blue and the other as red. This is currently not possible with the out of box theme designer.

Thanks for your suggestion Jake. We are currently building our new version of Responsive Forms and reconsidering how the style builder works.

We may reach out to you in the future for your feedback.

  13. colored responsive controls

With the September 2017 update, Nintex on-premises responsive forms are coming. After some hours testing it, I miss a lot of "old" features, like the possibility to join a CSS style to a control. With responsive forms, we completely lost the ability to change the color of a label text, or the background color in a panel.

New controls are really cool, but it would be even better if we could personalize them a little bit more! If, for some reason, custom css styles are forbidden, there's a way to let user set up some basic parameters in each control…

Thanks for your suggestion. We are currently doing research into improving the style builder for Universal Forms.

This feedback will be considered in our next iteration of the style builder.

    Euan

  14. Nintex Live form authentication against Office365

The question has been posted on Nintex Community https://community.nintex.com/message/20231. It be nice if we can authenticate against Office365 for forms on Nintex Live.

  15. Ability to Copy and Paste Named Controls and Item Properties

Copy and pasting formulas with any kind of named control or item property seems to fail. You have to manually find and double click the item you want to add into your formula every time. So for any complex formula that I am trying to copy from another control I have to do it all from scratch.

  16. Make where you write functions an actual code editor

It is very frustrating writing anything other than a basic formula in Nintex forms for several reasons. The biggest frustration though is that there is no validation. Even Microsoft Excel gives you and indication that your formula is invalid. Also marking closing and opening brackets and parenthesis would be a huge help. It seems like it would be a simple task to implement this and a huge win for users.

  17. Cascading Dropdown - Set Default Value if only one option available

When you use the technique for cascading drop down controls if the second control only has 1 value available set this as the default display value within the control.

Users shouldn't have to open up the second control to select the value.

  18. Adding add new row and deletion of row from repeating section to tab index

For creating ADA compliant forms the Add new row and the x in repeating sections needs to be added to the tab-index so end users with disabilities can easly add rows or delete rows.

  19. Allow Current User Filter on List Lookup Control in Mobile Form

In SharePoint 2010 mobile form, the Current User filter does not work in the List Lookup control on a mobile form. The error received is "Error getting list entries". This is a known issue (had a support ticket for this). It would be very helpful to provide a mobile experience that mimics the online experience with this filter criteria. Because of this, the mobile app is not being used, as the list to scroll through is too long.

  20. By default Multi Language support

Currently, if you want to build a multi language form, you must replace labels by "Calculate fields", then use a lookup function to get the correct value into a SharePoint Translation List.

This method is only acceptable if you have a small quantity of field on your form, due each calculate field means a request to the list, so 200 labels means 200 request to the list --> PERFORMANCE HUGE ISSUE.

The other way is building some JavaScript, but it means to add a lot of code lines in our forms (minimum one line par language-label).

    It would be great…

    Thanks for your suggestion.

We have been exploring this as an idea and something we would like to do in the future for Universal Forms.

Our current priority is to replace the existing Responsive Forms designer and have the same functionality migrated. Once this is done, we may revisit this idea.

If we have movement on this, I will update this idea.

    Cheers,
    Euan
