  2. Restore or recover deleted Form templates from recycle bin

The ability to Restore a deleted Form from the recycle-bin.
Forms deleted from the Nintex UI are removed completely from the system with no way to recover, except from a back-up.

  3. Print to PDF: Introduce page margin settings

As we struggle with the same issue as described in community thread https://community.nintex.com/thread/13293-set-margin-for-print-to-pdf I would like to suggest the introduction of page margin setting capability for the print to pdf-section of the form setting page.

  4. Ability to create Form Templates with default controls and properties that cannot be modified (e.g Footer section or company branding)

When creating new Forms, it would be nice to start with pre-baked form templates that include components we may require by governance.

Additionally, it would be nice if the canvas contained controls or branding that cannot be modified without the correct permissions. This would allow large organizations greater control over governance implementation and help the developers stay in consistent compliance.

  5. Responsive Forms - Enable borders for View Forms

Currently field items are displayed without borders and most of the formatting in view fields. These cause some values that are not filled to look very out of place and orphaned.

My suggestion is to allow the borders to display on View form but perhaps just fade the fields and remove any X to remove names from lists.

This feature is still in the backlog. We are focused on Universal Forms for Office 365 at the moment.

Once we ship Universal Forms for Office 365 and SharePoint, we will review our offering of Live Forms.

I will update this feature once we ship Universal Forms.

    Cheers,
    Euan

  7. Nintex "Site" Level Forms

I suggested this to Euan several months ago. Currently there are forms associated with a list and workflow. It would be extremely valuable to have a form that is associated with a site (kind of like a SP site page) that has access to all lists and libraries in a site. That way an entire solution could be built out using only Nintex Forms. Also posted this as an idea for O365 Forms.

  8. Remote provisioning of Nintex Forms and Workflows for SharePoint 2013, 2016 and O365

Please, implement PowerShell based remote provisioning of Nintex Forms and Workflows for SharePoint 2013, 2016 and O365.
It would be even better if you implement SharePoint PnP extensions (https://github.com/SharePoint/PnP-PowerShell, https://github.com/SharePoint/PnP-Sites-Core).

This would allow integrating Nintext features into existing PnP-based site provisioning templates and deployment packages and would simplify Nintex feature migration between SharePoint sites and farms.

Current Nintex SDK is incomplete to use it for production purposes and Nintex export/import tools need to be executed on the server, which adds lots of unnecessary overhead in managed multi-tenant environments.

The remote provisioning tools for Nintex features should be…

  9. By default Multi Language support

Currently, if you want to build a multi language form, you must replace labels by "Calculate fields", then use a lookup function to get the correct value into a SharePoint Translation List.

This method is only acceptable if you have a small quantity of field on your form, due each calculate field means a request to the list, so 200 labels means 200 request to the list --> PERFORMANCE HUGE ISSUE.

The other way is building some JavaScript, but it means to add a lot of code lines in our forms (minimum one line par language-label).

    It would be great…

    Thanks for your suggestion.

We have been exploring this as an idea and something we would like to do in the future for Universal Forms.

Our current priority is to replace the existing Responsive Forms designer and have the same functionality migrated. Once this is done, we may revisit this idea.

If we have movement on this, I will update this idea.

    Cheers,
    Euan

  10. Repeating section default xml text

It would be great if it would be possible to enter a default XML text so that all the new forms would use this text.

For example som repeating data sets.
It is neither possible to enter a default text in the multiple lines data type nor to define a default set in the repeating section control. Therefore, there is no proccuption of repeating sections possible.

  11. Disable Print to PDF

If we do not want users to be able to print out forms, there should be a way to remove the Print to PDF button from the ribbon on list item forms.

  12. Track Changes in Nintex Forms

    Hello,

Can we please add track changes ability in Nintex forms (just like Microsoft word)? That way it is easy to review and approve changes. I know we can currently look at version history but that does not help the end user. Please add this feature, it will be very useful for approving documentation.

  13. Ability to restrict Forms Designer

The ability to restrict workflow designer using site settings - Allowed Workflow Designers is provided. There is also a need to restrict end users from modifying item forms. 'Hiding' the forms button using css isn't flexible enough.

  14. PDF Layout

Currently the PDF generation is based on the desktop layout. There is no way to have a field on the PDF view that is not on the desktop layout. It would extremely helpfull if there was a separated layout (PDF Layout), so the controls can be rearranged as needed.

An eventual implementation would be quite straight forward as all it is necessary is to add a new "desktop layout" to the designer and call it PDF layout. Then the PDF generator would be based on the new layout instead of the desktop layout.

  16. Create Sharepoint Columns from Nintex Forms Design

It would be extremely beneficial if we can design the form, and when I hit 'Publish', Nintex will create the Sharepoint List columns for us. I have a form for example that has 300 columns. I need to create 300 Sharepoint List Columns, open up the Nintex Forms Designer, and realign all the controls. This is very time consuming.

In addition to the above, it would be very good if upon opening an existing form from the designer, that it would add any newly created columns as controls to the form. Currently the form only gets populated automatically when a…

  17. Print to PDF: Option to choose mode

An option that decides which mode is used for printing (or: "switch to view mode for printing"- yes/no) would be very helpful. Our users keep complaining that the printouts look different in new/edit vs. view mode. This option could be on form level or on control level (similar to the "Control Mode")

  19. Save, 'email a link' and continue Feature

With the new features coming in forms of save and continue (which is awesome). Can an option be added so if an end users decides to save the form, an email with a link is sent to the initiator so it is easier to get back to the exact list item.

This will be especially useful if someone take days (or weeks) to complete the form, and their item in the list is then buried down within the list itself so hard for a user to find.

  20. Hide Edit Item Button

Would like to have a capability to Hide Edit Item Button for certain SharePoint groups irrespective of the access level they have. Sometimes we may need the users have access to SharePoint List with contribute level to run the workflows and update items but would be great if we can prevent them from editing the item manually.
