Viewing custom device-specific Nintex Forms on mobile devices
When using a flexi task to send out requests for approval in a workflow the custom device-specific Nintex form layout cannot be viewed on mobile devices. This applies to Smart Phone, iPhone, and iPad layouts. On iPads, the default desktop version of the Request Approval form is displayed. However on smartphones, the SharePoint task form associated with the item is displayed instead of the Request Approval form. Thus, the user CANNOT approve the item using this form.
The best case scenario is the workaround listed here: https://community.nintex.com/thread/1268. However, this workaround does not work in scenarios where authentication may be required – you get a SharePoint ‘Something went wrong’ message.
We would like to see a working device specific form generate for each device when using a flexi task to request approval.

For mobile web, we recommend using Nintex Responsive Forms to ensure your forms are accessible on any device. If you feel there is an issue with the current behaviour and not working as expected, please log a ticket with support@nintex.com.

Euan

It's disappointing to see that this is still an issue over a year later. We are a newer Nintex partner and have been looking forward to leveraging their mobile platform capability. However, with this issue, users cannot even complete tasks involving custom Nintex workflows. Also, the workaround from the forum does not seem to work in Office365 and it seems to require you to specify a mobile URL vs. a device-agnostic URL.

This is a feature that is sorely lacking in the product. As we try to sell our solutions to the user base it would be clean to have one link that would display the desktop, tablet or mobile layout depending on the device the user is leveraging.
