Conditional Sub Forms
When designing Forms, have the option to show a Sub Form (or section) in the Form based on a Condition using @Formula Language.
When a New Doc is created, a subset of fields is shown from SubFormA, else the fields are shown from SubFormB
SubForm can be Expanded or Collapsed (settings - allow to override this, for example Initially - collapsed). Have a look at the Lotus Notes clients.
Thanks for your suggestion.
I will update this idea if there are any updates to share.
This is a great idea and is something that is available in Lotus Notes. This way you can change the behavior of a form based upon who is accessing. Hiding panels is a bit cumbersome as you will need to assign different field names. Using subforms allows the same field names to be used.
This is available today use panels and rules to control their visibility. But having the ability to link or direct with ease to a second form after submission would be a great add. sometimes forms can become way to large with hidden areas when you end up with hundreds of controls and trying to save to multiple lists.
