SQL Request Control Support for Office 365
The SQL Request control is only currently available on Nintex Forms for SharePoint on-premise and not Office 365.
Could we get this supported in Office 365?

Chad

Responsive forms rule to populate people control
Rules currently allow you to set field value of textbox controls. We would like to use a rule to populate a people control (i,e, set manager field people control based on another people control using user profile lookup).
74 votesThanks for your suggestion Cassy. With Universal Forms, you will be able to set the value of any control. I just tested setting the People Picker control in a test environment.
Would the person be hardcoded in the rule? Or would you expect a UserProfileLookup runtime function output to populate the field? Let me know in the comments below.

SQL Request Control - Trigger SQL request on button click
Trigger SQL request on button click without save or submit the form.
70 votesThanks for your suggestion Mohammad.
We have been discussing this internally and added this functionality to the backlog.

Custom theme options for each element in responsive forms.
The ability to set custom styles and themes for specific items in the responsive forms.
For example.
I have added 2 buttons, I want one to show as blue and the other as red. This is currently not possible with the out of box theme designer.
8 votesThanks for your suggestion Jake. We are currently building our new version of Responsive Forms and reconsidering how the style builder works.
We may reach out to you in the future for your feedback.

Add option to hide controls (such as bottons) when printing to pdf
Currently (Nintex 2013 I cannot hide controls for printing (e.g. buttons such as print, close, etc.) Would be good to have a common property like "isBeingPrinted"in the formula builder that could be used to hide the element.
55 votesAs we are currently building Universal Forms, we are considering how the buttons appear on the form and in the ribbon. We are taking a very minimal approach to the ribbon.
If you have any more feedback, please provide it in the comments section below.

SQL Request Control - Multiple Fields in Query Results
In its "Run Now" option, the SQL Request control can use SQL queries returning multiple results. Even a query such as
SELECT * FROM tableName is valid. However, same SQL Request control fails to parse data when having multiple fields.
In Nintex Forms 2013 Help document, last updated on Friday January 2016, Nintex gives an example of:
select FirstName, EmployeeID from Employees where Title like 'Title'
This query fails since we're asking for 2 fields, FirstName and EmployeeID.
In its current version, returning single result, we have to send a query for each field we need.
This makes a lot…133 votesReturning a data set rather than a single value is something we have discussed internally and are interested to explore. We will be revisiting how we query for data as we are building Universal Forms.

Make Managed Metadata fields available as Named Control for rules

Possibility to insert a Digital Signature in a Nintex Form
In Word you have a nice option to insert a Digital Signature. Right now you are losing that option when you migrate your Word forms to Nintex Forms. There was a great add-on for this ;)
47 votesHi Auke,
Within Universal Forms, we now have a digital signature for web and mobile.
Would a signautre control fulfill this requirement, or do you require a digital signature file upload?
Please provide more feedback in the comments section below.

Different layouts for New / Edit / Display mode (and print)
For larger forms it can be quite complicated to manage different designs for New / Edit / Display mode all in one single form.
In addition to having the ability to use rules, coniditional field properties, panels and custom JavaScript, it would be nice to have additional layouts for this modes like in InfoPath.
Forms would then be more easy to read and understand for form designers.
302 votesHi all,
With the development of Universal Forms, we are looking at how the current form modes are supported in the existing product.
At this time we are still planning to continue using functions to detect form modes. This is so we are able to support migrations but also give a lot of flexibility in the rules engine.
We do not plan to bring different layouts to Universal Forms at this time. As we are introducing multipage to Universal Forms, we do need to figure out how a multipage form will be printed and is under consideration.
I will update this feature when we release an Advance Preview of Universal Forms if our position changes based on feedback.

More advanced filtering for connected lookup controls
Lookup controls allow filtering as shown in the attached screenshot. Filtering however is limited to one field.
I would love to be able te filter on multiple fields with (multiple) AND/OR operators.310 votesHi all,
We will soon begin the development of the List Lookup control for Universal Forms and take this feature request under consideration.

Cascading Lookups need re-work
Currently building cascading lookups is cumbersome and very restrictive in where I can get data from. Having to create separate lists for populate the cascading values is not sustainable. I should be able to populate Form variables to filter and pull data from, also should be able to filter and get choices from unbound choice fields. Also the postback that currently happens is a real deterrent from using the controls. Re loading the form and having to scroll back to where you were at, isn't a very good user experience.
35 votesThanks for your suggestion Dan.
We will certainly be considering how cascading lookups are configured when we rebuild the List Lookup control for Universal Forms.
If you have specific feedback regarding your experience, please provide it in the comments section below.

IsMemberOfGroup Inline Function Enhancement
It would be awesome of IsMemberOfGroup supported AD Groups as well as SharePoint groups. Many business requirements want to leverage the existing groups in the AD, so creating another group in SharePoint simply to replicate an existing group to get this working adds administrative overhead. This could be a big win when permissioning forms panels and showing/hiding controls based on memberships to AD Groups.
128 votesThanks for your suggestion Jason.
As we are currently working on Universal Forms and rebuilding all the functions in our new forms technology, I will add this to the backlog.

Managed Metadata controls in Repeated Section
Currently it is not supported to place a Managed Metadata control in a Repeated Section. My client uses Managed Metadata for key business Term Sets and it would be very useful to lift restrictions around how these can be referenced in Forms.
106 votesWe want to add more controls to the repeating section and this is something we are working on with Universal Forms.
In the future we should be able to support most controls in the repeating section.
I will update this feature when I can confirm this will be available in Universal Forms.

Sizing Controls
There should be an option to make one or more controls the same size as another selected control on the form. This is a very common option to have in graphical interface designers, as seen in Netbeans and Visual Studio.
Select a control: then select X number of controls, right click to get options to "Make controls the same size" >> first selected control is the control that determines the size of all other selected controls.
67 votesAs we are currently focused on Universal Forms, this is not on the short to medium term.
Once we have shipped Universal Forms for SharePoint, we will revisit Classic Forms.

Add dynamic dates as Default value in Date/Time picker
It would be good to have the possibility to assign calculated dates as Default value of a Date/Time control.
For example: First/Last day of the month, n days from now, yesterday/tomorrow.
Thanks
13 votesThanks for your suggestion Stefano. We are currently building this for Universal Forms for SharePoint.
I will update this feature when we get closer to the release of Universal Forms for SharePoint.

Autocomplete Feature
It would be great to be able to have an Autocomplete feature (similar to google search) built into the forms. We would like for our users to beable to type in the first couple characters and display results based on what they entered above/below. Another key feature would be the ability to click/select on the autocomplete function to fill it in.Lastly, to be able to reference a list and filter that specific feature based on another list within sharepoint would be optimal.
120 votesThis is now in the backlog and something we would like to implement with Universal Forms for the List Lookup control.
I will update this feature when we begin development on the List Lookup control for Universal Forms for SharePoint.

Min Date and Max Date for date picker
It would be nice to have the Min Date and max Date feature available with date time control as its available in jQuery date picker control. Please refer to http://jqueryui.com/datepicker/#min-max
48 votesThis feature may not make it into the initial release of Universal Forms, but can be achieved through the custom validation rules functionality in Universal Forms when released.

Ability to disable controls in nintex forms 2010 from CA
I am looking for ability to disable some controls(like geo location,BCS,etc) from central admin to the end users. as BCS support is not provided to end users in sharepoint enviroment
4 votesThanks for the suggestion. Are you suggesting a similar capability to the one for actions in Nintex Workflow?

1 Click Packaging and export
Within the designer, have a button that exports the List / Library, Form and associated workflows to a solution file (WSP) which can then be added to another environment

Validate formula within the formula builder
Hi
Firstly I cannot see if this has been requested before, apologies if it has!
I was wondering if it was possible to have a validate button added to the formula builder screen at all? This would be extremely helpful when creating formulas.
I have attached screenshot from another program I use which has something similar when I create formulas.
Thanks
5 votesThanks for your suggestion Karen.
We often get a lot of feedback about the formula builder which we are incorporating into our new formula builder for Universal Forms. Our new Formula Builder will ensure the formula validates while building. The builder will not allow you to save if the formula is invalid. This builder will also include help text to let you know if and why the formulas is not correct.
This has not been released as yet, but once it has been released, I will update this idea.
Cheers,
Euan
