Unpublish or disable a workflow
It would be great to get a possiblility to disable or unpublish workflows. At the moment once the workflow is published, you cannot disable the workflow temporary. Sometimes that would be useful (eg. if you import a lot of data to a list, where you do not want to run the workflow).

It appears that you have to Publish the workflow, then on the publishing screen turn the triggers off.
Andrew's suggestion did not work for me. Workflow still ran.

If you go to workflow settings on the list or library, select Remove or Block a workflow, then you can click on No New Instances option next to the published workflow. This will block new instances until you come back to this setting and select Allow. There is a third option to Remove a workflow as well.
