In Nintex 2010, when you use the "send email" action ... there is no possibility to catch errors when an email could not be send. If the mail server is down, the email is not send and the workflow is marked as completed. This would make it possible to build a retry mechanism while sending emails. If email send fails ... wait 1 hour and then try to resend.
Thanks for the feedback, we are reviewing this request for inclusion in a future release
@Nintex Product Management:
May I ask, if there is any updated status referring to this request? It's now over 2 1/2 years under review and there was no status update since then.
Actually, we have the issue in a Nintex Workflow from a customer, that we couldn't monitor the Send notification action, if the email address is wrong. Is there any chance to implement an error handling in NWF 2013 for such an issue (e.g. using a WebService or REST call or...?
Thank you very much for your answer.

I second that. This action has been there since the 2007 version and still no option to catch errors.
In my case I'm not trying to do a retry I'll simply send a mail and possibly ignore if somebody typed a faulty email address.
