Save and Continue option
While it’s on my mind, one for the suggestion basket: Suggest adding an option to the Save dropdown menu that is in the vein of “Save and Continue” which would allow the user to save without having to go through the popup confirmation window and just return the user to the editing stage. Alternatively, it might work to allow one to set the behaviour of the Save button itself to that (presumably on a per-user or per-session basis).
:)Ben

Thanks for the feedback Ben. I am interested to know what the driver of the request is? Is it simply best practice saving every now and again, or is it due to the browser potentially crashing and losing your work? If it’s the latter, would some form of AutoSave assist?

We would like this option as we use it to lock in specific content to load filters such as Country, then filter to a Region. We then write this to a calculated field to "Lock In" the selections by way of Save and Continue. This then Locks our initial section from any changes. This will then allow us filtering Country and Region based client companies and/or region based accommodations. Works perfect on Desktop Layout. We NEED this in mobile!

AutoSave definitely will be a benefit. If a form has a workflow associated with it, the workflow normally kicks in when the form is saved (submitted). "Save and Continue" should not kick off the workflow.

I need the "save and continue" because I want to retrieve data via nintex workflow and then fill other filed in my form.

For us - The user may be filling in the form over a day or two. They want to be able to save the form to where they are up to and then come back to it. This is without having to complete all the required fields.
I'm not sure that i want an item in a list unless i specifically saved it into the list. I guess we can always delete the item if we decide it wasn't required.

Hi, from my side I've had issues with users leaving a form open over a long period while entering in paragraphs of data for customer reviews. The problem being if I made a change to the form or workflow, they'd get an error and lose hours of work.
Autosave would be much better than nothing.
