Improved support for multi-language notifications
I would like to see improved support for a requirement where a workflow needs to send notifications to people that have different native languages. Assuming the language of each workflow participant can be determined (for example, via an AD attribute), today it is bothersome to create a notification in their respective language. I have tried two workarounds
- use workflow variable, fill it externally with desired boday text, and use this variable as body for notification e-mail. But then I face challenges when trying to dynamically replace inline placeholders - such as Workflow initiator or approval URL - within these variables during notification runtime.
- Fork workflow depending on language, use one distinct approval action per language. But this workflow gets huge when trying to support more than a handful of languages.
I would envision a possibility to be able to be able to comfortably create notification e-mails (typically for approval / FlexiTask) "per-language" and additionally configure one of these languages as "default" which would be used if no appropriate notification for a specific language can be found.
Obviously nothing planned?

Yeah, over 3 years of latest comment from Nintex PM. If you pay attention to other threads it seems Nintex PM took a couple of days from Jan/2014 to respond a couple of threads and just forget about it.
