Equivalent Nintex (workflow and forms) modern webparts for on-prem SharePoint 2019
We are migrating to SharePoint 2019 on-prem and the modern layout seems to be the future.
I've attempted to use the Modern interface on some sites, but there are no Nintex modern webparts available to work with Workflows, workflow tasks, or forms, and no way to 'work around' their absence in an on-prem installation (thought there are reportedly ways around it in SPOnline).
Could Nintex please provide some Modern webparts to enable the same functionality as classic layout, in the Modern interface in on-prem SharePoint.
90 votesThanks for the feedback Trent. We will continue to monitor this request. In the mean time you can view the web parts in classic view.

Enabling error handling in Nintex online actions
Nintex workflows for O365 does not have error handling feature for many actions. The typical behavior at SP2013 is that user can choose to handle errors for certain actions. In office 365, Nintex provide a flag for subset of actions. This flag determines weather action succeeded or not.
Such actions are:
1. Web Request
2. Query XML
3. Update XML
4. Create item in another site
5. Delete multiple items
6. Update multiple items72 votes -
Action set - Run as workflow owner option to be visible anywhere on the workflow
It was noticed that when the "Action set" action is placed on a workflow in the main stream, the option to run the action set as workflow owner is visible on the configuration of the action.
But if the same action set was placed within a parallel actions, state machine, or any action that has other branches; the option to run with elevated permissions (as workflow owner/the account used to publish the workflow) is no longer visible.
As developing workflows, we expect that an action will behave the same way wherever it is placed within a workflow. I personally believe…78 votes -
Enable Skype for Business 2015 with Nintex Workflow
Nintex Workflow works well with Lync 2013 however it would be great to see the product to work with Skype for Business 2015.
Some of the expected features would be to see:
- Instant message notification
- Functional Lazy Approval8 votes -

Find Variable or Text
There are some other great suggestions for documentation of variables, but I would also like to see a way in the designer to highlight actions that use a variable. I envision a Search button in the ribbon that opens a search dialog where I could either select a variable from the list of variables in this workflow, or simply type something in a text box. The feature would search the workflow and highlight all the actions that use the variable or contain the text.
The suggestion for finding and removing unused variables (https://nintex.uservoice.com/forums/229405-1-nintex-workflow-for-sharepoint/suggestions/10843149-find-and-remove-unused-variables) identifies the scenario of trying…

Start or End Workflow (Locally / On Another Site / On Another List)
While we have the ability to Start / End a workflow on the local list, the only option we have for starting a Workflow on another Site or List is to use a Web Service Request.
This is terribly convoluted, and extremely inconvenient (especially if there are questions of authentication) for new users.
It would be much nicer if we could have the ease of just pulling an Action into our Designer and being able to configure it much like you would configure any of the other actions that can interact with Off List items.
Furthermore, please give us the…

Audit Log Files for Nintex Forms & Workflows
Currently there is not audit logs for track workflow changes. It would be helpful to have a functionality that would allow Administrators to monitor activities in SharePoint, Nintex Forms and Nintex Workflows. Essentially something like the Audit logs for SharePoint.
Please provide a feature to track all administrator changes like create, update, delete and publish Nintex forms and workflow.

Import Holidays
It would be a good idea if it would be possible to import the holidays (Easter, Christmas and so on) from a file (iCal or something) for each year.
Christmas is at the same date every year but Easter and some other Holidays are flexible. So you have to add the flexible Holidays manually which is not fun.

Allow control over "LazyApproval" labels/display
We have C-level employees approving workflows via LazyApproval. Unfortunately this has a negative context and we are getting pushback by our workflow implementers to see if we can adjust this label.
I see that the emails can be modified, but we are still seeing remnants of that verbage in our approval history.
Is there a way I can modify this? Thank you.

ADFS Single Sign-On CRM Support
The CRM actions included with Nintex Workflow and available through the Nintex Live Catalog should be able to support Single Sign-On authentication through systems such as ADFS.

Workflow action to convert Nintex Form to pdf
With the recently release Nintex Forms enterprise feature to print to PDF, it would be great to access this functionality via a Nintex Workflow.
As an example a Nintex Workflow could take a Nintex Form and generate a PDF file to be created in a library.698 votes -
Show the SMTP error that the mail was unable to send on View Workflow History page
We request to add a function that is to show the SMTP error that the mail was unable to send on View Workflow History page
We found the error was not showed if the mail is unable to send from “Send Notification” action causing by what the wrong mail address is registered on the user account.
However this error is generated on the Nintex Workflow category of ULS log.
Users are not able to note this issue that they are not able to receive the mail on time.30 votes -
Get previous field value in workflow
As start workflow option to start a workflow you can set the "value differs from the old value" option. Nintex Workflow obviously has access to this information. Within the workflow you can not load the previous value into a variable or something else. That would be nice.
Actually you have to use multiple hidden fields storing the previous value to use in for workflow porposes.
410 votesWithout going into the technical detail; the previous value made available in conditional start is actually the current value just before any updates are made to the item. When the item is updated, we lose the ability to get the value prior to the update.
To restate the workaround as indicated in the idea; create an additional column in the list or library and update this with the current value of the column of interest. Then when the actual column is updated, the previous value is still available in the additional column. Of course one need not make this additional column visible in the view or Form so the users are not confused.

Update Document action to include pictures
It would be extremely helpful if the Update Document action could update a picture control on a document with a linked image based on an URL for said image.

workflow cancelled : choose to send email notification
It would be great to choose whether to send a notification or not when a workflow is cancelled. Indeed, sometimes we need to cancel a workflow by using the "Terminate workflow" action or via the Nintex seb service and it is part of the normal process, it isn't an error or an unexpected behavior. That's why it could be useful to not send a notification in this case.
281 votesHey guys, would updating the email notification messaging to reflect that the workflow was intentionally cancelled meet your needs?

Auto Save
Auto-save while working on a Nintex Workflow would be such a good thing. Not only myself, but other developers I know have backed out of the designer before just by some random key presses and have lost his/her work. Right now the only solution is clicking "save" often, which isn't terrible, but sometimes when you are focused on the work it can easily slip one's mind.

Export list item data to CSV, including Repeating Section data
A Workflow Action to easily select the columns to export to CSV (attach to an email notification for example) including data in Repeating Sections.
Currently I can do this manually, but very cumbersome and time consuming.
