  1. The userProfileLookup runtime function for Nintex Forms for Office 365 does not return any value

The userProfileLookup runtime function for Nintex Forms for Office 365 does not return any value

I have a very complex form with a lot of Rules on it where the userProfileLookup runtime function does not work.

On your blog here you provide 3 possible causes/ solutions:
    https://community.nintex.com/t5/Technical-Issues/The-userProfileLookup-runtime-function-for-Nintex-Forms-for/ta-p/87393

The first 2 could be the fix but it is not the case for me and the third is an absolute NOT friendly one and definitely time consuming when you have a form with hundreds of rules on.

Please design a better way to see if indeed there could be a rule corrupted…

Thanks for your feedback, Maria. This idea is being set as declined as there is not a specific feature request but more feedback about an issue in the Classic designer.

If you feel there is a specific feature you are after in this request, please submit a new idea.

    Thanks,
    Euan

  3. add an ability to deploy nintex apps via code?

we have new sites we deploy via an automatic process.
    we would like to either
    1) have some way to automate nintex forms and workflows installation
    or
    2) be able to provision forms and workflows via API BEFORE we install the apps (it was working before and then stopped, and probably would be nice if that would be a supported scenario). in this case we can deploy all we can automatically and then the user/site admin would only need to install nintex forms and workflow apps.

Our preference is to give you the power and flexibility within the product to solve business problems without the use of custom code – leveraging controls and functionality that Nintex supports. Therefore we will not be supporting JavaScript in Responsive Forms.

If you would like more styling options, can you please ensure you create an idea and vote on the feature. If you need specific style options, such as field size/height, make a new idea as we are looking at creating a new style builder in Universal Forms very soon.

  5. sharepoint lookup in repeating section

SharePoint Lookups do not appear to work inside repeating sections in Office365 Nintex Forms. Any idea when this might work?

  6. Auto-populate multi-user field using JavaScript on Nintex forms for O365.

Currently there is no way to auto-populate users in multi-user field using JavaScript on Nintex forms for O365. We came accross a scenerio where we had to auto-populate users based on some field selections. There should be some function to set the same as available in Nintex forms for SP On-premises.

Thank you for taking the time to create your suggestion Manjot.

We do not plan to support custom JavaScript events. If you would like to see something specific in product, please raise a new suggestion.

    Cheers,
    Euan

  7. fn-IsMemberOfGroup

The fn-IsMemberOfGroup does not show this function to find if current user is part of a SP Group or not. In On-Premise this function is supported and we have many forms that use this. We certainly need this.

    Hi Sridhar,

The fn-IsMemberOfGroup is available in both Nintex Forms for SharePoint and Office 365 in the inline functions tab. This function is only evaluated at load time therefor is only available in the inline function tab not in any runtime function tab.

    Cheers,
    Euan

  8. Adding support for custom JavaScript in responsive FORM

This is regarding Responsive Forms Designer in Nintex forms and we are aware that there is no options currently available. We truly appreciate if can add this feature to your next release of responsive Form

  9. Block "inline edits" for Modern SharePoint Lists/Libraries

Not sure how feasable this is, and will probably have to work more with Microsoft, but with Modern Lists and Libraries, there are too many ways to bypass Nintex Forms currently. Modern allows you to easily update individual fields without opening the Nintex (or even built in SharePoint) forms.

Even if you turn off the "Quick Edit" in advanced settings, you can still in-line edit the values individually or use the (i) info panel to open up values.

This completely bypasses Nintex Forms, and any rules/requirements that might be placed on values.

I've tried to ask Microsoft people about it…

  10. Repeating Section Field ID

Would like to be able to reference the content within a repeating section by it's client ID. This way APIs can called and use the content from within the repeating section.

  11. External js file with utf-8 encoding

Actually if a js file is listed to be included as external javascript reference, it's added in the page with a script tag.

My suggestion is to modify this by adding also the attribute charset="UTF-8"

In that way special character can be used without problems

    Hi Giacomo,

Our preference is not to support JavaScript but rather give you the functionality that Nintex supports.

Please raise ideas on functionality that you are building with JavaScript.

    Thanks,
    Euan

Thanks for your suggestion Valerie. This can be achieved through Nintex Forms collecting the user details then starting a Nintex Workflow to provision the AD Account.

    Cheers,
    Euan

  13. More options for Rules

Would like to have the ability to set a field value from the rules pane - if this is currently a feature, its not obvious to use. Currently you can only hide or disable the control based on a condition. It would nice to have other options like ->If A==B set Field C to D.

    declined  ·  Daniel Kinal responded

You might want to look at whether Calculated Values will suit your purposes here. These controls can be bound to columns as well.
Will mark this one as declined unless the Calc Val control does not fit the bill.

  14. Form Mode and Inline

    Am I missing here.

Is there any way to generate a form that does not take over NewForm? Can I have a form that I call and pass the ID via query string. to separately without impacting normal behavior of the list?

Can the that said form be placed in line on an SPO page without any edit ribbon?

  15. Currently does not support creating item in a folder

If I have a custom list which have folders in it, and I navigate to a folder at click New Item. Nintex Forms starts as normal, however when saving the Item is not saved in the folder, but in the root of the list

  16. Add a migration path from InfoPath Forms to Nintex Forms

Customer says: Can we have a migration path from their current InfoPath forms, to our Nintex Forms, they have been looking at our forms product, and have quoted it. They also said that if there was a way to migrate their infopath forms over to our product that they would really be interested Forms, because everyone in their organization who has looked at it, loved it. .

Nintex relies on our migration partners to create tools for customers to migrate between different platforms. There may be new tools coming into the market in the future that will fulfill this requirement.
