Add workflows to buttons
Currently you can add a rule to a button. It would be huge if you could add a workflow allowing a one click to start a workflow directly from the form.

Thanks for your suggestion.
It is something we have considered in the past but is not an immediate priority.
If our priorities change on this feature, I will update this idea.
Cheers,
Euan

Please do it. Large businesses often have many different teams, and often it is hard to know who to contact on a team so a button that triggers a workflow could help greatly in this situation, but beyond this, there are many applications for this type of functionality. please bump this up higher in your priority list.

Business application scenario:
I have a Training Courses List. The form is made in Nintex Forms. I'm also joining in the same form the list of attendees to this course by a "List View", filtered by the current showed course.
It should be great to have the OOB posibility to send invitations to each attendee (send email Workflow) to the course directly from this form (currently is a requierement I lost a lot of time to deliver something acceptable).
Sometimes they want to sent 10 invitations for 10 atendees on a simply way. To start manually 10 WF, one by one, and having to wait unitl screen refresh each time, is a too heavy process for a regular business user.
Simply click on a list check field to send the mail invitations should be great.

Hi,
I agree, that some simple linking of workflows to buttons on forms would be very helpful. Creating workflows is hard enough to do. Why waste time when using them from a suitable GUI i.e. a Nintex Form? It's a universal thing, which should actually be simple to handle without Java script. -

I think this would be useful because it will allow users to send manual reminders, escalate based on a user trigger by clicking a button etc. So, a button which can trigger a workflow would be great. Example, 'Escalate to Manager' button can be clicked to send an email to the manager when a particular item has to be escalated.

Just to bump this. I currently need to build a rudimentary ticketing system where users can "claim" "complete" close" tasks, i'd love to be able to do this through a ribbon button that launches workflows behind the scenes as needed.

I also think this would be very helpful. Sometimes customers want to use forms as a sort of "control center" or "admin screen" from which they could carry out various tasks, such as launching site/list based workflows. This would be great for that.

I could see a scenario in which within the form you can execute a workflow that posts back information to the form,, Such as a Excel services query. . You may have some complex math logic within Excel services that you need to post values to from the form. the workflow can do this and then post back an answer.
