Support for the Calendar content type

Hi all,
Thank you for your interest in this idea. We have no plans to support the Event content type at this time. If our position changes, I will update this idea.
Cheers, Euan

The lack of Microsoft support for custom event lists in SharePoint Online's modern experience might be why Nintex isn't putting energy into this feature. We recently migrated an event list from on-prem to SharePoint Online and had to keep the classic list experience to keep recurring event support. We're not sure what we're going to use to replace this functionality in the future. It might include getting an additional 3rd party app. Anyone else find a good solution to this need?

Note - I need to see this fixed for SharePoint forms as well, not just Office/MS365.

It's been more than 6 years that this has been an issue (and 3 since a PM bothered to comment on another thread at https://nintex.uservoice.com/forums/229406-2-nintex-forms-for-sharepoint/suggestions/10544457-the-ability-to-create-a-nintex-form-when-using-the). I respect that it's more complicated than other things, but is it really so much more complicated that you haven't been able to find a solution in 6 years? This is OTB functionality that's been standard in SP for a very long time - telling my customers that our new fix-it tool can't manage this... and hasn't been able to for 6 years... isn't a great look. When can we expect this to be included?

Is there any timeline when the Event Content types will be available/supported in Nintex forms O365?

I am surprised to see that Nintex form for Office 365 does not support event type.

I agree. This is another example of something basic in SharePoint on Prem that should be available for most basic content types (items, documents, events, tasks, etc).

I came across this as a suggestion: https://support.nintex.com/Office_365/Workflow/Nintex_Forms_Support_For_Calendars_In_Office_365
However content types like announcements and tasks do not show up as event items on Outlook Calendar when the online calendar is connected to Outlook. This is a huge limitation and therefore we cannot use content types that does not show up on Outlook calendar. Even without all day or recurrence.

Even a light version without all day event and recurrence could be useful for now. Not being able to customize the forms for events is a big blockage for us

This is a must have so we are free to use Nintex Forms on needed calendar events.

I have seen 396 votes so far gather in 3 different threads. Do you have have any plan on developing it in the near future? This would help us a lot.

This is a must as there are Calendar events customised in SP 2010. When migrating to SP online in order to give the same user experience or better look and feel, really need to support Event content type

Really need this to keep my users involved.

This is a great idea, as SharePoint calendars have features (like all-day and recurrence) that are difficult to simulate in a custom list

Please add all mostly used content types!

It is very common to have a form and let user choose recurrent event while the can enter the data in a form . just the way it was in SharePoint 2010.
Nintex form for calendar type list is absolutely necessary!!!! -

This lack of being able to have a Nintex form for the Event content type in O365 is beyond annoying and NOT what we expected nor should we expect... this is bad bad bad

Currently when starting to fill in the Nintex Form from the list having "Calendar" view active, SharePoint is opening it in a modal window (no way to change it ootb). After user fills the form and then attempts to save it, Nintex is showing an error: "* Invalid URL value. A URL field contains invalid data. Please check the value and try again."
In fact there is no such field nowhere in the form, and the form itself cannot be saved.
Nintex support said, that currently there is no support from filling the forms opened from the list being in a "Calendar" view.
