  1. Checkout Functionality

I know the parallel designing is not possible in Nintex Forms. Hence can we introduce a new functionality saying that this form is Checkout by so and so user, before the other user starts it work in the same form.

  2. input validation - Standard Patterns for Postal Code that can be chosen based on Country

It would be nice to be able to dynamically change the validation pattern of a field like postal code based on another field like country. In InfoPath you could save standard patterns and then switch between them depending on another field.

  3. dark theme in new responsive designer

Users want the ability to toggle between light and dark modes or themes in new responsive designer.

If we try to build a form with customized dark colors, it does not allow the user to switch between light and dark mode, and it causes another problem for read-only text fields it displays dark gray text on a dark background.

  5. Preview Edit mode, using existing list item, like InfoPath preview

When previewing a changed form in the designer there is no way to test the change with an existing list item (as is possible with InfoPath). Instead we have to Publish-and-See. The addition of this feature on InfoPath 2007, shortened form development considerably.
I think the same feature on Nintex forms would really help your form developers, too.
Otherwise, really, the Edit mode preview is only testing the display/edit/new mode rules - nothing else. A real waste.

  6. Choice Field Control - Ability to Unselect a Choice

When using the choice field control on a form the end users cannot unselect the choice they have made. E.g. User selects a choice value and then decides they do not want to answer that question they cannot untick the choice they selected. They can only select another choice, in my specific example I am using a choice control to auto calculate deductions for an inspection score and the user cannot unselect a choice to deduct points so I have had to add a choice value of 0 to remove the deduction points if they change their mind.

  7. New Form Rule for Nintex Mobile in Nintex Forms Designer

I would like to suggest a new condition for the form rule that we could use to hide certain form controls when viewing from Nintex Mobile (New Responsive Form). As Nintex Mobile does not support lookup() runtime function, images from SharePoint/OneDrive, etc. It will be good that these controls be hidden from Nintex Mobile.

  8. Add percentage support in the New Responsive Designer

The original "Responsive Designer" supports percentages. It adds a text field that's formatted for percentages and connects to the list's number column.

The new responsive designer adds a number field without any formatting options to support percentages. It displays and edits the percentage value as a decimal (e.g. .5 for 50%). We would like to see an option to support percentages in the number control. It could be listed in the Numeric Type setting. A column formatted as a percentage should be added to a new form with the correct formatting automatically.

  10. designer shrinks dropdown control too small to read

When trying to fit several controls into the row, it sometimes shrinks or squeezes the dropdown too small to read the selected text value. Fix to display at least a certain minimum amount of text.

  11. Support ListLookup output to multiple values

When you add a ListLookup control, it allows you to specify the output "Value to store" as either "Item ID" (which is usually not useful) and "Item text." Can you add more options?

For example, suppose a list contains 3 columns - Employee Name, Employee ID, and Employee Job Title. When the user selects an Employee Name from the ListLookup control, allow the form to output and store the values of the matching Employee ID and Employee Job Title.

I built a workaround by combining Name and ID into 1 column and then later splitting that back into separate columns…

  12. Auto scroll up to the error functionality

When I click save/submit button without providing mandatory fields, it shows an error message on the top of the form.
Since these buttons are set in the middle of the form, I can't see the error message at the first sight and have to scroll up the screen to the top and check the error message.

It would be helpful if there is a method to scroll up to the top automatically when the form detects error.

  13. Fix or document repeating sections

repeating sections are unusable. There is poor to no documentation on how to link repeating sections to a sharepoint list.

  14. Update choice field in Responsive Forms

When a choice field is updated with new (or deleted) choices in SharePoint Online, the form must be opened and republished to capture the new choices. And, if a task in the workflow references that field, it too must be opened, saved, and workflow republished.

Can the form designer read the field when the form opens from the list, rather than need all these extra steps to change the choices in a choice field?

  15. ReadOnly -- Form and Group

Setting the entire form, or group to READONLY.

    Currently, I have 2 options:
[1] set each field readonly -- field by field -- in the Rules section. To be fair, I can include upto 15 fields, and then copy the rule to cover the rest of the 100+ fields,
    - OR -
[2] create a task form, which requires additional customization and is extremely time consuming.

My suggestion: -- under Rules, allow user to specify the form or group with the ability to force the form, or group, into Read-Only mode.

  16. Form control settings retain expanded state selecting next field

When you select a form control and use the settings pane to change appearance or formatting it would save time if these options stayed expanded when you move to the next field. Being able to group/select multiple fields and change settings for this group as suggested in another submission would really help with this.

  17. Change in Title should be automatically reflected in rules or variables or formulas

There are scenarios where a form will have lot of rules, variables and formulas.

In such cases if a title is changed (like ‘Client Name’ is changed to ‘Customer Name’ or something else) the designer does not update the new title wherever it is reflecting in the rules / variables / formulas.

Currently we have remember which rules or formula or variable is using the title name and have to manually change them one-by-one. More so we also have to test each change to ensure they are working as intended.

Can this be rectified in your future release? That will…

It would be nice to be able to set field values in the preview to test rules that are driven off SharePoint list columns.

  19. Attach a list item multi-line text field to the entire form to store XML

In the same way that the repeating section can serialize named controls into XML, allow the same for an entire form - so all named controls and repeating sections can be serialised and stored in a multi-line text field.

  20. Allow forms to open without validation so that corrupted forms can be troubleshooted.

If a form can no longer load due to a corruption or invalid information that works with rules. It will crash the designer session. It would be invaluable to be able to open the form in debug mode. This would allow the designer to remove the offending column or correct the rule.

Currently, a workaround is to delete columns that you know had rules or validation applied to them.
