  1. Ability to add field to SharePoint

Within the old designer, you could add a field to SharePoint - and then use within the form. The new responsive designer doesn't have this.

Workaround is to save/close - and go to the List Settings - add the field, then go back to edit the form. Would be nice to add a field "in the designer" - like with the older/previous forms designer.

  2. New Responsive Forms - Lookup function

According to the FAQ it's a 'Yes....but'. Without this function calculated values based on a SP lookup control is impossible.

  3. Use List and Library GUID to lock onto the resource instead of display name or URL

Use List and Library GUID to lock onto the resource instead of display name or URL. Any changes to the display name break the form (and workflows) and should instead work similar to Flow where it locks onto objects with GUID.

  5. Alphabetic List of 'Connected Fields' (New Responsive)

When dragging/dropping fields from SharePoint (Related List Columns) - these are ALPHA listed.

But within the field itself - the 'connect to field' list is NOT alphabetic.
Within each of the types of sections - it would be handy, when trying to find a field.

  6. Set Values in Preview

It would be nice to be able to set field values in the preview to test rules that are driven off SharePoint list columns.

  7. Hyperlink control for repeating section

There is no way to insert a hyperlink control in a repeating section for responsive forms.

  8. Enable dynamic URLs in Rich text/labels

Currently only hard-coded URLs can be added to rich text/labels or controls in Nintex Online. It would be great if Nintex can enable insertion of dynamic URLs

We are very pleased to announce the New Responsive Designer for Office365 has now been released. This update includes many updates and features, including the ability to insert variables into a label control. A variable is a dynamic value that can change based on input – which could include a link.

Please ensure you have updated your app to see the new designer choice.

    Regards,
    Euan

  9. fn-GetQueryString in Nintex Forms

Add the fn-GetQueryString() function to Nintex Forms for O365 so a query string parameter can be used on form load. This would replicate functionality found in Nintex Forms on Prem.

  13. Improve support for dateTime columns/controls and conversion/extraction/comparison with date and time columns/controls.

    1. Please can comparison operators between dateTime controls and list fields be made to work as expected?

    2. Please can conversions between dateTime and date and time fields be supported without string manipulation?

Date manipulation functions such as convertToDateTime(date, time), convertToDateTime(date), extractDate(datetTime) and extractTime(dateTime) could achieve this.

  14. Incorrect help info for single line textbox control...

Thee is an error in the online help info regarding the expression that can be control whether a field's appearance is enabled or not. The help text states that the expression must resolve to a Yes/No value at runtime. This is NOT true. The expression must resolve to True or False. A simple expression of IsNewMode works as is.

  16. dynamic redirect URL

I think it would be really helpful to be able to set a dynamic redirect url based on a view or some other property in the form. Basically I would like to be able to set the new redirect URL through JS because I might not always want it to go to the same location. If you could make the redirect URL available to be set using code in the classic forms or add in variables, that would be awesome.

    Use Case….
In SharePoint, if a user sorts or filters a list and clicks on a list item. Does something…

Thanks for your suggestion Ben. This is in the backlog to be built in our new Responsive Forms designer.

This will be implemented through the new rules engine, allowing you to dynamically change the submit button redirect address based on conditions in your rules.

I will update this feature when we begin development.

  17. Allow for conditional formatting in responsive form.

Font colours should be changeable if conditions are met.

Thanks for your suggestion Angela. This is something I would like to implement with Universal Forms – i certainly see the value.

It may not make it into the first release of Universal Forms for Office 365, but its definitely something I would like to see in the product.

    Cheers,
    Euan

  19. Ability to define height for a multi line of text field control

I'd like the ability to define the height of a multi line of text control to be added.

Currently there are scroll bars quite quickly. Couldn't a functionality added similar to changing the width?

  20. Allow local choice control to contain values with commas

Where a choice control is not bound to a list column (and there are good reasons for that situation so it is not a solution here) the values for that choice control are specified in the control settings as a comma separated list. It appears there is no way to include a comma in a valid value by escaping the character. If there is, please advise, otherwise, please include!
