  2. Better Error Notifications When Publishing

Errors when publishing a workflow can be difficult to troubleshoot since the error messages are generic.

    For example
"Error publishing workflow. Specified data type does not match the current data type of the property"

It would be helpful to know what property it is talking about, the data type it is expecting, what is trying to send it the incorrect value and what value it is trying to send.

  4. Allow Variables to have a Default Value

The ability to set a "Default Value" for most variable types is not available. It's available in the on prem version.

  5. Document Generation - Ability to conditionally hide sections of a document

In the Nintex Document tagger, please give us the ability to show or hide (i.e include or not include) portions of a document based on the value of a Yes/No variable. This could be done by having a tag that has the name of a variable followed by a suffix to allow us to mark where to start and end a portion to conditionally include.

For example, for a Yes/No workflow variable named "Show Terms and Conditions", you could have the following tag:

    <<VariableShowu0020Termsu0020andu0020ConditionsIncludeStart>>

Hello world. This is a portion of a…

  6. Highlight last action selected in designer.

Often times I have to go over several actions of the same type in mi workflow changing their config. It would be useful to have the last selected action be highlighted in some way so as to keep track of my progress. Now I do this by centering the action in the window but this is not ideal.

  8. Use OAuth 2.0 for all connections

Because we use Federation with an external authentication provider, our users do not know the AAD password of their associated account. Consequently, the Basic (username and password) authentication method will not work for us. Can we convert all Basic auth connection types to use OAuth 2.0 instead?

  11. Nintex Governance: Connection Manager & Workflow publishers

Best practice around Connection manager would be: Create tenant level connections with appropriate set of users who will design workflows. To ensure local site admins don't create unnecessary connections we need a central setting to disable site level shared connections and personal connections.

Workflow publishers: We need to add/remove each user to the list of allowed workflow publishers. There is no way to use AD groups. It'll be great if Nintex can enable AD groups in workflow publisher settings.

  12. attachments

Allow for a Collection Variable of file URLs to be attached like on-prem. We rarely know how many attachments we need to attach and attaching a number of string variable limits this number.

  13. Direct / more "intuitive" way to configure typical reminder settings for tasks

I repeatedly see the requirement that a Task is assigned to a user and there should be an E-Mail reminder to the assignee every x days - starting y days after the Task has been assigned.

Today (please correct me if I overlook something obvious here…) the in my eyes rather bothersome way of configuring this would be
    - create a separate Workflow variable V
    - Use a separate "Calculate Date" Action to add y days to today's date and store this value in V
    - in the Configuration Settings for the Task Action, use V as the "Due Date" …

  14. User interface appears in several languages

While most options appear in English language, occasionally some stuff are displayed in Spanish. WTF? Please unify the localization, instead of mixing it up, because later on is hard to use the search box (should I search in English or in Spanish?)

  15. Copy Workflow

If I save a workflow under a different name - to create a copy - the original workflow seems to disappear. It would be better if the original workflow remained with the old name.

  16. Personal connections in Connection Manager

From the governance perspective, personal connections should be disabled by default. Currently it must be manually disabled on each site/sub-site.

    Recommended path:
    1. Personal connections must be disabled by default
    2. Need basis site owners may decide to enable it
    3. This would encourage the use of shared connections

  17. Approval scenario

I have a parallel approval scenario whereby I have a number of assignees. If one of the assignees rejects the task the approval process should direct stop and the outcome should be rejected, if all assignees approve the approval process becomes approved.

PS: In the on-premise version of Nintex this can be done with a flexi task.

  18. Create Groups within "Office 365 Create Site in o365" action

When creating a site using the "Office 365 Create Site in o365" action, and creating unique permissions, there is no option to create and the groups i.e owners, members, visitors etc

  19. "Approve/Reject" in Common Reference

It would be better if Nintex for Office 365 will also have the "Common Reference" feature like the "Approve" and "Reject" link for fast and easy approval. It's also work on both PC and Mobile version.

  20. Add description box for actions

Add a description box in workflow actions, so we can describe in detail, what the action does and why. This will help when transitioning workflows from development to support teams.
