How can we improve Nintex Workflow for Office 365?

Workflow Errors

There needs to be some notifcation to the designer or somoene if the workflow errors. When you have multiple workflows across multiple sites a notifcation is helpful in managing your workflows and any issues. This was available in on-prem why has it gone away?

At the very least, an email notification to the person who last published the workflow, which includes a link to the list, library or site where the workflow is published, when a workflow suspends or terminates itself. Also to trouble shoot the current suspended messages, is extremely difficult. There is too much coding in the error message. Nintex for SP2010 was easier to trouble shoot errors.

Maybe this is slightly off topic but part of the workflow error should show graphical representation (like on-prem) where the workflow actually threw an error - on what action.

Workflow history would be a start or maybe an area where you can specify an email address or SP group and the error notification gets set to that.

Hi Rick, happy to chat - I think there are several different ways you can do it, the main way would be to ensure that something gets written to Workflow%20History when a workflow terminates? Or to allow the 'internal status' of the workflow to be reportable somewhere?

The key for this kind of overview is to be able to easily see which item is affected, showing perhaps the TITLE and modified/created date with an option to click through to the workflow status page to see the details and troubleshoot it easily.

Help!!!! The lack of notification option/report is a serious problem for our organization. There needs to be an exception report to track suspended or terminated workflows on the External SharePoint sites (O365 Online) which is extremely critical to our business; we need notice or some type of reporting tool to track workflows that are suspended or terminated. When will a report or a viable option be available for designers to track suspended or terminated workflow?

How are we doing on this one? There are workarounds, sure, but we would like to see this built in. That's a lot of votes, whoa!

Jon Hardy, I think you get more votes than you expected. We need it too.
Appreciate if you can make a "separate workflow" section so that we can do anything like send email, update status of current item, etc. We need more flexibility if this feature is there.

hello can we please get a notification when a workflow has an error?

  • Anonymous commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

    hello
this is indeed an important feature in order to know when a problem occurs

  • Animesh Kar commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

This is an important feature and should be there in o365 version. Due to this issue Nintex Workflow for o365 might not be considered for Business Critical workflows on o365 platform at an enterprise level.

yes. Its a must feature. Please add in your feature release.

  • Phil Duffy commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Yes, especially as the workflow health option page that seems to help with this often provides wrong information so just provides more confusion

  • Adam Pucek commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

We need this back. By not having it, it makes this not enterprise ready. Having to manually check the workflow health (which you need to be an owner of the site to do) is just crazy.

I have a similar error when the send email activity causes the whole workflow to finish.
Not having the possibility to try/catch such errors is a big problem.
