Query XML Performance is very Poor
The Performance of the Query XML Action is very slow. It takes about 30 - 60 seconds to complete the action when processing XML stored in Workflow Variables. With multiple query XML actions in a loop it can take close to an hour to complete some workflow.
The performance of a number of actions has been improved, including Query XML. Should be much quicker now.
30 - 60 Seconds only? I am trying to parse the fields of two repeating fields on a Nintex Form and it take sometime up to 10 minutes to do that in O365 Version. Also, if you have blank data in the repeating fields it returns blanks / nulls for them which causes a whole other set of issues in the For Each processing loops. Not cool.
Generating an excel document (50 lines only) using DocGen only starts to generate the doc 12hours after having launched the workflow, because of the Query XML actions we had to do before.
This is the third project in a row where we struggle with that. more improvements on that one please
Hello all, for those of you having problems with using Query XML multiple times for various Key/Value pairs....
An alternative solution is to use Query XML once and instead use a wildcard:
Save the results in a Collection variable and you will have all the Key / Value pairs. You can then use Get Item From Collection to extract the detail in a much quicker way than multiple Query XML actions.
Remember both the key AND the value will be in there, e.g.
So you have to Get Item From Collection using specific indexes (the odd numbers, basically)

Same here, Query XML actions are taking way too long to complete.

I also noticed this as being exceptionally slow, such that it is not worth doing in a workflow if you have more than a couple of rows to loop.

My looping workflow is suffering badly from the performance of Query XML
