  1. From Field in Send an Email

It would be great to have a From field that supports dynamic references. Most business requirements want emails sent from a specific account, which is not supported in NW in O365!

To support this requirement we’ve just release the following features

    - Specify a customizable sender display name for both email and task actions, we understand one of the main requests was to be able to supply a custom from email address however due to many of the limitations in the cloud we are currently unable to deliver this request and so hopefully being able to add a From display name will get you one step closer..

    - Add a customizable Reply To email address for the email action so you can control the email address when people hit reply.

Hope you enjoy these features and be great to hear any feedback once you try them out.

    Hi All,

We’ve just released the ability to capture comments from via LazyApproval, apart from that you can also easily store and retrieve those comments (including ones made via Nintex Forms or directly via the task) into a new task action variable (Task comments).

For those who are specifically interested in capturing from LazyApproval the way you do is by supplying the outcome separated by a comma and then the comments .e.g. ‘Rejected, Need more detail before can approve’.

Check it out and let me know what you think…

    Cheers, Rick

  3. Copy List Item

The ability create copies of current list items (workflow context) should be included.

    Hi Guys,

We are just planing out a new Copy Item action which will also look to support an option to include attachments. Beyond this are there any other requirements that you would need from a copy item action?

    Cheers, Rick

  4. Print form to PDF action in Workflow

Within the Nintex Forms there is now a Print to PDF function that was released last year however it would nice if that could be an action item in the workflow to allow for capture of form in PDF to be emailed as an attachment with the 'Send an Email' action. Ideal for scenario's where form may be used by HR that require documented records to be kept on file not just SharePoint lists.

Have looked at using Document Generation however there are many collapsing sections in my form that may or may not need to be captured so the…

  5. Wait for field change in current item - multiple values with OR

I would like to be able to say "wait for the field to change to this value OR that value, then do this action" - there is currently no option for entering multiple values.

Please have a look at the condition builder just released as part of conditional start. Is this the kind of condition builder that you need in “wait for field change in current item” ?

  6. APIs for Nintex workflow 365 as like on premise Nintex

As like on premise Nintex we require APIs/web services to do the following actions.

    1. Start the workflow.

    2. ProcessFlexiTaskResponse2.

    3. Publish workflow

    4. GetFlexiTaskOutcomes

    5. API to delegate a task.

    6. API to configure long term delegation

  7. Copy Attachment to Doc Library

Similar to the On-Prem action. Being able to copy List attachments to a document library with associated metadata if columns exist

  9. Update document set or folder with Update Item or Update Item Permissions

The O365 Update Item is restricted specifically to documents or items, it cannot actually update a Document Set or Folder Item. There are many cases where we need this specifically with Document Sets. The CAML query used to select a Document Set does not work in Nintex, though it works in PowerShell, CSOM, Javascript, REST, etc.

  10. Add "contains" and others to "Run if"-Action

An additional "contains" test would be great to test in Run if statements for example if value is part of a multiple choice field.

If possible also "starts with", "is empty", "does not contain" would be very helpful additional operators.

  11. DocuSign Single Sign-On Integration

DocuSign actions should include support for Single Sign-On between DocuSign and Office 365. Currently, to authenticate a DocuSign user that utilizes Single Sign-On they must be added to an exceptions list, and it is unrealistic to add all users to the exceptions list as this defeats the purpose of using Single Sign-On.

  12. Export to PDF/Graphical

It would be very nice if you could export the whole workflow to a PDF or other format, for easy documentation or printing.

  13. Connection Manager for "Web Request"

Connection Manager is now available for Office 365. However, action "Web Request" was not included. I would suggest Nintex to enhance this.

  14. Enable Date formatting functions

Date format is one of the common use-case in Nintex workflows. It'll be great if Nintex can build this feature.

  15. Managed Holiday

Would be good if we could still set this in O365 so that calculations between dates won't include weekends/bank holidays (the days we set in the managed holidays)

  16. Update Item Permissions For External User

Currently the Update Item Permissions action does not support modifying permissions on external users (reason here:https://community.nintex.com/thread/12513). It would be great if this action could be updated to support external users, or if another action could be developed specifically to interaction with externals users who have been added to the SharePoint site.

  17. Start Parameters for Start Workflow action

Would be great to have the ability to pass the Start Workflow action values as start parameters.

  18. Copy to SharePoint Action required

I have multiple site collections which store controlled master documents (Word format), once approved a PDF copy needs to also be made available from one central library location (open access for all staff). Copy to SharePoint action is sorely missed in O365.

  19. Multi-factor authentication support for live actions.

Currently, none of the Nintex live actions support any multi-factor authentication. More and more clients are switching to this level of security and the lack of this support greatly inhibits our feature offerings. None of the live action advantages are available and clients can't switch to multi-factor authentication without breaking workflows that utilize these features.

With the work on a “Connection manager” MFA will be supported for those live actions that support OAuth authentication. Unfortunately not all actions do, and so there are exceptions. When connection manager is released the help will detail which will.

For the balance, the comment by Mike Oryszak below is an option for these actions.

  20. Global task delegation

We moved from SP2010 to SPO and we need global task delegation back. When one of our employees goes on vacation, they need the option to delegate ALL nintex tasks to another user for a set date range. This "upgrade" to SPO and Nintex Online has been a nightmare for end users. Missing way too many important features.
